Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon minced fresh ginger root
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • ½ teaspoon chili oil
  • 1 3.5 ounce package ramen noodles with dried vegetables
  • 3 ½ cups vegetable broth

Instructions

  • Begin by placing a medium saucepan on the stove. Pour in the vegetable broth and add the ramen noodles. Cover the saucepan and bring to a vigorous boil over high heat. Once boiling, stir the noodles to separate them. Reduce the flame to medium and incorporate the soy sauce, chili oil, and freshly minced ginger. Allow the mixture to simmer openly for about 10 minutes, ensuring the flavors meld beautifully. Just before serving, swirl in the sesame oil to add a nutty aroma and sprinkle sliced green onions on top for a fresh, vibrant garnish.

Notes

For an authentic touch and enhanced flavor, consider making your own vegetable broth from scratch. It’s simpler than it sounds! Just simmer a mix of your favorite vegetables like onions, carrots, and celery with some herbs and spices in water for about an hour. Strain the broth and use it as the base for your ramen. This not only elevates the taste but also allows you to control the sodium content, making your ramen healthier and tailored to your palate. Happy cooking!
