Ingredients

  • 4-5 pepperoncini peppers
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 chuck roast 3-4 pounds

Instructions

  • Place the chuck roast into your slow cooker. Evenly sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix over the meat. Scatter the pepperoncini peppers on top, and place the butter on top of everything.
  • Cover and cook on low for approximately 8 hours, allowing the flavors to meld and the roast to become tender. Once done, shred the meat and serve it with your choice of noodles, mashed potatoes, or rice. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Do not add any water or broth; the roast will create enough liquid as it cooks.
  • This dish pairs wonderfully with potatoes and carrots. Add quartered russet potatoes and a handful of baby carrots to the crockpot about 1-2 hours before the cooking time is up for a delicious, complete meal.
