Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • 5 lbs baby-back ribs
  • 2-3 cups BBQ sauce

For the rub:

  • 1 Tbsp Kosher salt
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 Tbsp black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp paprika

Instructions

  • Mix all of the rub ingredients in a small bowl.
  • Generously coat the ribs with the prepared rub, ensuring all sides are covered.
  • Place the ribs in the slow cooker, positioning the meaty side against the inner wall of the Crockpot.
  • Pour the BBQ sauce generously over the ribs, making sure to get sauce between the meat and the Crockpot wall for even flavor distribution.
  • Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on LOW for 7 hours, allowing the ribs to tenderize and absorb the flavors.
  • Optional: For an added touch, periodically baste the ribs with the sauce juices during cooking. If desired, you can broil the ribs in the oven at 400-450 degrees for 5 minutes or use the broiler setting to caramelize the sauce for a delectable finish.
